Standing Up for Your Principles Is NEVER a PR Stunt - VP Pence Leaves Colts-49ers Game!

Michael Conroy/Associated Press

Vice President Mike Pence, along with his wife, Karen, attended the Indianapolis Colts vs. San Francisco 49er's game in Indianapolis yesterday - Sunday, Oct. 8. If you're not familiar with the origins of the Kneelgate or Anthemgate controversy, with NFL players choosing to kneel during the National Anthem when it's played before games - the 49er's are the team most associated with the protest movement.

However, when a number of the 49er's chose to kneel during the Anthem, immediately afterward got up and left! On Twitter VP Pence posted...

“I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”

There have been many follow-up comments, from both VP Pence and President Donald Trump, as well as the White House, regarding the matter. One of the 49er's made the comment in an after-game TV interview that he felt Pence's actions were nothing more than a "PR stunt."

President Trump Tweeted afterward that he had asked VP Pence to leave the game - should there be a protest kneeling by any of the players - and I applaud them for taking a stand. My take on this is that standing up for your principles is NEVER a PR stunt!

Tillerson "Moron" Comment... FAKE NEWS! Says Trump

President Donald Trump

Despite Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's impromptu press conference yesterday, and numerous comment by President Trump on the matter - the MSM continues to push that Sec'y Tillerson called Pres. Trump a "moron" at a meeting in July 2017.

President Trump yesterday said, "It was fake news. It was a totally phony story,” Trump added. “It was made up. It was made up by NBC. They just made it up."

The Independent Journal Review has more details, plus Fox News footage of President Trump's comments.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA)

Liberty Writers has a great story about House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), who recently returned to work in DC after being shot just months ago, and his ONE-WORD comment about gun rights, after the horrific tragedy of Las Vegas!

San Juan Mayor Resorts to NAME-CALLING After Pres. Trump Visit

San Juan Mayor Yulin Cruz appearing on MSNBC Tuesday, Oct. 2

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Puerto Rico on Tuesday, Oct. 2, with the President meeting with FEMA and Military personnel on the scene for a briefing on the disaster caused by Hurricane Maria, and the Federal and local relief efforts since the storm.

In her interview, Mayor Cruz said she had substantive conversations with White House Staff, but said that President Trump had a problem in communicating during this visit, calling him the "mis-communicator in chief."

Rather than focus on the horrific aftermath of Maria, which has been catastrophic for the island of more than 3 million people, and getting relief to the population - is name-calling really the best choice of action?

2nd Amendment Flip-Flop SHOCKER! Paul Ryan Sides with Hillary!

Justin Sullivan, Mark Wilson/Getty Images

After the horrific Las Vegas Shooting this weekend, Hillary Clinton tweeted her stance against the NRA-backed legislation intended to deregulate suppressors (more commonly known as "silencers" to most people). She said the "crowd fled at the sound of gunshots."

Now silencers can greatly reduced the sound a gun makes, but not that completely - to where if the shooter in Las Vegas had had a silencer his shots would have been silent, giving him yet another tactical advantage over the crowd below.

House Speak Paul Ryan (R-WIS) has announcing he is "shelving indefinitely" the Hearing Protection Act, introduced to Congress on Jan. 9 this year, part of which is intended to deregulate the purchase of suppressors - which are already legal, and the bill would make the process of purchasing them less burdensome.

Taya Kyle's UNBELIEVABLE "Letter to the NFL" Post!

Taya Kyle, widow of American Sniper Chris Kyle
Taya Kyle, author of the unforgettable memoir "American Wife" and wide of "American Sniper" Chris Kyle - has published an unbelievable message on her Facebook page!

“You were doing your part celebrating each other based on skills, talent and a joint vision without regard to color and religion.”

Your desire to focus on division and anger has shattered what many people loved most about the sport. Football was really a metaphor for our ideal world — different backgrounds, talents, political beliefs and histories as one big team with one big goal — to do well, to win, TOGETHER.”

“It was simple – we loved you and you loved us – with all of our races, religions, different backgrounds and politics. Simplicity in a crazy world was pretty awesome.”

“You dear NFL, have taken that. You have lost me here.

She ends her post by asking the NFL players to roll up their sleeves and volunteer for their communities:
You have a lot of strong guys, I am sure in the off season a lot of them could build some pretty big bridges if they care enough to do the hard work. That would involve getting off their knees and getting to work though.
