Vice President Mike Pence, along with his wife, Karen, attended the Indianapolis Colts vs. San Francisco 49er's game in Indianapolis yesterday - Sunday, Oct. 8. If you're not familiar with the origins of the Kneelgate or Anthemgate controversy, with NFL players choosing to kneel during the National Anthem when it's played before games - the 49er's are the team most associated with the protest movement.
However, when a number of the 49er's chose to kneel during the Anthem, immediately afterward got up and left! On Twitter VP Pence posted...
“I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”
There have been many follow-up comments, from both VP Pence and President Donald Trump, as well as the White House, regarding the matter. One of the 49er's made the comment in an after-game TV interview that he felt Pence's actions were nothing more than a "PR stunt."
President Trump Tweeted afterward that he had asked VP Pence to leave the game - should there be a protest kneeling by any of the players - and I applaud them for taking a stand. My take on this is that standing up for your principles is NEVER a PR stunt!

Despite Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's impromptu press conference yesterday, and numerous comment by President Trump on the matter - the MSM continues to push that Sec'y Tillerson called Pres. Trump a "moron" at a meeting in July 2017.
President Trump yesterday said, "It was fake news. It was a totally phony story,” Trump added. “It was made up. It was made up by NBC. They just made it up."
The Independent Journal Review has more details, plus Fox News footage of President Trump's comments.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Puerto Rico on Tuesday, Oct. 2, with the President meeting with FEMA and Military personnel on the scene for a briefing on the disaster caused by Hurricane Maria, and the Federal and local relief efforts since the storm.
In her interview, Mayor Cruz said she had substantive conversations with White House Staff, but said that President Trump had a problem in communicating during this visit, calling him the "mis-communicator in chief."
Rather than focus on the horrific aftermath of Maria, which has been catastrophic for the island of more than 3 million people, and getting relief to the population - is name-calling really the best choice of action?

“ Football was really a metaphor for our ideal world — different backgrounds, talents, political beliefs and histories as one big team with one big goal — to do well, to win, TOGETHER.”
“It was simple – we loved you and you loved us – Simplicity in a crazy world was pretty awesome.”
